Moving water

Moving water seems to provoke some great discussion and some real polar opposite opposite opinions. I recently posted a couple of pictures of a waterfall on my Instagram feed, one was of the water captured sharply and the other was the same composition but the water has some motion blur. The feedback was almost exactly 50:50 with some people preferring ing the motion blur and some preferring the sharp image.

Whatever your preference I hope you like some of the images below.

This is the stunning Aros Falls on the Isle of Mull

A slower shutter speed introduces some motion blur into the image creating a more pleasing effect (to some people)

All these images are taken with a slow shutter speed to give the water a slightly milky effect. The image of the water coming out of the pipe was taken with a 6 stop ND filter to give a 10 second plus shutter speed.
