Structures
I have chosen to name this section "structures" but it may end up morphing into an extension of landscapes! I will however try and limit the landscape element to the minimum and stay with my interpretation of structures being manmade. A selections of bridges, homes, statues etc will follow (with a a bit of luck).
A early morning visit to RSPB Snettisham to witness the flocks of Knott brought me to this old jetty. A tripod, 24-105 lens and a slow shutter speed gave me quite a pleasing shot. Colour or Mono take your pic :-)
An attempt at an "arty" shot on a local railway bridge at sunset.
The way the setting sun was catching only portions of the bridge captured me on this one. My photography doesn't quite do it justice but it came out ok.
Statues at Wrest Park
The Boathouse, Ulva Ferry, Isle of Mull
A single arch bridge in the gardens of Wrest Park
York Minster
This was always going to be a more difficult section for me to do because I don't find it easy to translate the composition I see with my eyes to the image on the screen when it comes to structures.
This recent trip to York is a good example of this. I must have taken over 50 pictures and I have only really found a handful I am happy with.
I guess I need to practice a bit more!
