Video
In addition to the photography I have a interest in video and music. I am very much a novice with basic edits using Apples iMovie app.
The otter video was taken handheld with the 400mm lens on the front of the Canon 6D. Unfortunately no image stabilisation technology was available so its a bit shaky.
The images in this video where taken on the Isle of Mull and they music is my father singing a Highwaywomen song called "Crowded Table". I recorded the song in his lounge using Garage Band and an interface, the images were added later in IMovie.
More images of Mull, this time with my father singing an Ian Thompson song (who he knows well), Take the long way home.
Mull has quite a diverse music community and open mic nights are regularly held in Tobermory. My father is an active supporter and can quite often be seen along with others at the Park Lodge Hotel on a Sunday evening. The songs below where filmed on one of my trips, the sound was stripped out of the video, edited in Garageband and then put back in using Imovie.
The video below was taken Easter 2023 on the Isle of Mull, again open mic night at the Park Lodge Hotel in Tobermory. Videos were filmed on my iPhone XS on a gorillapod tripod with a Rode Lightning microphone, editing was done in iMovie and Garageband.
The two videos below are put together from clips taken with a trail camera, putting these together has given a renewed respect for wildlife cameramen. The hedgehog clip is less than two minutes yet I went through over two hours of footage before finding the clips i wanted.
