This night really was an experiment with the camera. I really didn't know what to expect but I was pretty happy with the way the images came out. The camera is my trusty Canon 6D and the lens is the rather excellent EF 24-70 F2.8. Setting wise I used shutter priority with speeds around 1/80, aperture was wide open at F2.8 and the ISO was at a rather heady 8000. Editing is with Canon DPP4 with nothing else to combat the high ISO noise (no Topaz or anything like that). 

Overall I was amazed at what the camera was capable of.

While the images are not without noise, I feel they have come out quite nicely and it has encouraged me to seek out other bands and venues with the Canon and not just rely on stumbling into pubs with the iPhone.
